    We stayed at Hotel Cielo for 14 days with our two kids (ages 4 and 8) and had a truly fantastic experience. The hotel is very new, modern, and clean, which made our stay extremely comfortable from start to finish. The staff really stood out — they were incredibly warm, helpful, and always accommodating, especially traveling as a family. A special highlight was when our daughter turned 5 during our stay — the team surprised her with a birthday cake and a song at breakfast, which meant so much to us and made the day unforgettable. The location is excellent, right in the center of everything and just a one-minute walk to the beach, which was super convenient with kids. The views from the pool and the top-floor sitting area are absolutely stunning — overlooking the bay and watching surfers throughout the day was a real highlight for us. We also really enjoyed the breakfast, especially getting to try different Sri Lankan options — everything was fresh and delicious. The pool area was great as well and a big hit with the kids. One thing to be aware of is that the neighboring Dots Bay House hosts weekly DJ events, which can be quite loud if your room is facing that side. However, the hotel handled this very well — once we mentioned it, the manager quickly moved us to the other side of the building, and after that, we slept perfectly with no noise issues. Overall, we highly recommend Hotel Cielo, especially for families. We would definitely stay here again!

    Still had a few teething problems to sort out but generally nice people nice Hotel nicely presented good luck to them in the future.
