Garden Of Munduk

If i could give more stars to this homestay, I would! This place is so amazing. The owners are so friendly and will go the extra two miles for their guests. Amazing views and sunsets, clean and very spacey rooms. You and your luggage will be picked up at the meeting point and brought to the homestay by scooter, because it is inaccesible by car. And that on itself is already an adventure to start with. The owners harbour a various amount of rescued animals on the property which welcome you with a bark or a miauw. If you are looking for peace and quietness, this is the place to be. Hiking in the surrounding area to see waterfalls and former ricefields or nature, go by yourself by rental scooter to the nearest village where hardly any tourist are seen or have a private car and driver ¨Hendrik¨ to go further away. Or just relax and enjoy the clean pool and the food. It is all possible at this amazing homestay.

Angels on earth, they opened not just their house but their hearts. They know the area so well and supported me with everything I could possibly need: food, tours, drivers, even a Melukat ceremony. A beautiful, humble couple, the kind of people who make us believe there are still good people in the world and that life is worth living. The place itself is amazing: spotless, with a huge colonial-style room, lovely decor, a good mattress and quality sheets, and real 5-star taste. There's a beautiful swimming pool and an extraordinary breakfast with a huge selection of fruit, juice and food. They made my trip so special that I'm lost for words. And the dogs... I loved them all! Sweet, friendly, and always ready for cuddles. Suksma Tiara and Quiin I will be back :)

My stay at Garden of Munduk felt like a warm hug. The hosts were incredibly sweet, thoughtful, and welcoming. They treated me like family, and I genuinely felt at home. I stayed in the Deluxe Double Room with Balcony and Sea View — the room was HUGE! It had so much natural light, and the beautiful colours and design elements complemented the nature outside. It felt like you were one with nature. I loved being able to watch the sunrise and sunset from bed or from the balcony. The bed was also so comfortable and massive — plenty of room to roll around and do your starfish! The accommodation is within walking distance of a warung, which I personally enjoyed. Being able to walk there and back gave me a chance to get some fresh air, help with digestion after a meal, and simply soak in the beautiful, peaceful vibe of Munduk. They also have the most beautiful doggies, who are always eager to say hello. They greeted me every morning and whenever I came home at night. It was cool getting to know their different personalities. The hosts also connected me with a local driver named Hendrick - really cool guy and incredibly knowledgeable. I learned so much about Balinese culture through our conversations. The hosts themselves are very knowledgeable about the area, so if you have any questions, concerns, or are interested in exploring the surrounding area, I highly recommend reaching out to them. They can give you great advice and help you curate a more meaningful experience based on what you’re interested in. I would absolutely recommend staying here. I’m back home now, but I still think about Munduk and cherish my time at Garden of Munduk. It was such a warm, peaceful, and memorable experience, and I’m very grateful I got to stay here.

We had such a wonderful stay at garden of munduk. I am not gonna lie, i cried a Little bit on the taxi when we left. This place is run by two angels who are so dedicated, generous, kind and who wants to offer the best. The room is very clean, big , with a terrace which has a wonderful View over nature. The breakfast is delicious and VERY generous! If you are a dog lover: this is your place!! They are so Nice and hug friendly! We will forever cherish the connection and very interesting conversations that we had with our two Hosts. So if you are looping for a place that feels cosy, real and peaceful : dont hesitate.
