Hostel Nixar

La ubicación es muy buena, esta en pleno centro. 25-30 andando de la playa. Limpieza 100%. La habitación espaciosa y la cama muy comoda.

Del alojamiento todo perfecto. Lo unico “incomodo” es que si vas en coche, aparcar por la zona puede ser complicado y los parkings de pago de la zona eran un poco caros.

Nixar hostel is the only hostel in Almeria (as far as I know) and luckily it's a pretty good option. Great location, a few steps from one of the main squares in town. A good common room and kitchen. A potentially great roof terrace (although I think they could make a better use of it) and friendly staff. Rooms comfort is good, then the experience depends a lot from your room mates, as the beds are comfy and the bathrooms well equipped and everything is pretty new. Having the bathrooms inside a common room, however, is not always the best choice, again it depends by your room mates. Probably I'd also get rid of the automatic lights which activate each time someone sleeping on an upper side bed moves a finger, all night long. Being the only low budget option around (at least in high season), the hostel is also often crowded with enitre families, something unusual in hostels, who end up taking over the entire kitchen and so other travelers have to wait for them to finish cooking their meals for an entire family. It's not the hostel's fault, should be their common sense telling them not to do that, but maybe some common rules could be written in rooms and kitchen for people to read, in order to respect common spaces and so on. All in all, it's a very good hostel where I'd stay again.

Una experiencia excelente. El personal fue sumamente simpático y servicial desde el primer momento, haciéndome sentir muy cómoda y bienvenida. Además, la terraza es preciosa y tiene unas vistas maravillosas. ¡Sin duda un lugar para volver!
