    We chose the Aire hotel for a special birthday weekend. We booked a junior suite overlooking the main square. The room was beautifully styled and had a separate lounge area. There was a heatwave in the city bit when we opened the door the air conditioning had already been activated and the room was beautifully cooled. Breakfast was wonderful, a lovely selection of fruit including the tastiest cherries I've ever eaten. This coupled with beautiful ripe avocados, spanish meats, cheeses and divine breads and pastries made fir a wonderful feast. We didn't use the ancient baths as we'd done this previously and it's highly recommended but with temperatures in excess of 39 degrees at the weekend we decided hot bathing waters might not have been the ideal past time. We will be back 5 stars ✨

    The location is wonderful - on the Plaza Vieja near the cathedral and other beautiful places to visit, including the Alcazaba, which you can see from the hotel.. There were two nights of free public musical entertainment on in the square both evenings that I was there. Great music, which I watched from the hotel terrace. No problems with noise carrying into my room. My basic double room was just that but it had very efficient a/c and a shower with good water pressure. I enjoyed using the hammam facilities. The only downpoint was the number of people there on a Sunday late afternoon. The limited space made it feel rather pressured, but the massage was excellent.
