Host and Stay - 421 Wooler Park

The property was modern and had everything a family and a dog would require. The site itself was very clean and tidy, play parks for the kids, local shops, pubs, takeaways and plenty of walks nearby, beautiful streams and rivers. The onsite pub The Canny Owl was excellent for entertaining the whole family. Lots of entertainment for all ages every day and night. We will be back. Sad to be leaving.

There was a slight smell of wet dog in the caravan however that is to be expected as it is dog friendly! Nothing a couple of air fresheners wouldn’t solve. Also there was a strange smell in the main bathroom and I noticed some minor areas of required cleaning that would allow me to give this property a 5*, please note I am clean obsessive so likely others would not notice. There were some noisy excavations going on behind the property however this was not in the park itself so couldn’t be helped. The food in the pub attached to the site was not in my opinion worth the price, not fresh and mass produced chain standard meals however edible. And finally there is a swimming pool however it is not included in the price of your stay so there is an extra charge for this and for some of the children activities during the day.

Has everything you will need. Spotlessly clean and so comfortable. Extra touches of the hamper for us and the dog was a brilliant idea! Excellent location on the site. You get the sun all afternoon into the evening on the terrace too enjoy sitting outside

The caravan was fully equipped for your self catering needs. This included a generous welcome pack of crisps,, biscuits and crumpets. Milk in the fridge and a bottle of flavoured sparkling water. As soon as you enter the caravan, you feel at home. The kitchen area, had microwave, oven, and I think an air fryer in the cupboard (not used), The double bed was really comfortable, this room also had an ensuite toilet. The separate family shower/toilet was spacious enough, and there was no problem with the water pressure in the shower. Each bedroom has its own TV, so no arguments about what to watch. I also thought it a nice touch, that the day after check-in, I was sent a text from the owners making sure I had everything I needed.

Too hot at times inside. To be fair though, it was the hottest June week on record, and I have never stayed in a caravan before. Speaking to ",neighbours ", They gave me some tips on opening windows, but also closing blinds to keep the sun out. I had also brought with me a portable fan, which helped, especially at night next to the bed.
