Bush to Beach, Hot Water Beach

The views and proximity to Hot Water Beach are amazing.

We had a great stay in Hot Water Beach but were slightly disappointed by the house. Overall, the photos and descriptions are true, however, I would like to add a few things. The house and its facilities are old and worn (e.g. kitchen drawers don’t open/ close smoothly and there is a sign on the sliding door that it requires care when opening/ closing). There is no isolation and it is badly soundproofed. It felt more like a shed instead of a house. Even though it was summer, it got pretty cold at night plus we could hear the waves breaking even with the windows shut (which is not a bad thing. Just wanted to illustrate how badly soundproofed it is). We would not recommend this place to people sensitive when it comes to temperature and/ or sound. Further, I would like to mention that the toilet was in a separate building. To reach that, one had to exit through the previously mentioned sliding door and take two footsteps into another room. Unfortunately, there was no sink in that separate toilet area. Additionally, there was no proper bedroom door which separated the bedroom from the bathroom (shower and sink). One could only close a sliding door separating the bathroom from the living room. Overall, it was clean (kitchen, toilet, shower), but there were a few spiderwebs and multiple permanent stains on the floor. The kitchen was equipped sufficiently, but we were missing a big pot and would have welcomed a microwave.
