Fi is a fantastic host and Daisy has a great nature. Fi's home is geared for visitors. She was very generous and accommodating to be sure your stay was the way you wanted to it to be. I look forward to returning some day.

The stay was not long enough. It is the sort of place you wish you had booked for more nights.

Food was not an issue for us, as we were in Dunedin to be with family there. (Note: we are shown as "United States" in Booking.com but are in fact currently Christchurch residents.)

Warmer weather?

We had such a wonderful stay here. The price was very affordable, and the room was spacious, clean, and tidy. The whole house is beautifully decorated with so much personality and character. You can really tell that a lot of thought has gone into making it feel warm and special. We stayed in the same house as our host, and this actually became one of the most memorable parts of our stay. Our English is not particularly good, but she was incredibly patient and willing to talk with us. I honestly felt a little sorry because I think we interrupted her while she was watching TV, but she didn't seem to mind at all and still spent a lot of time chatting with us. She taught us a lot about local New Zealand culture and etiquette, and as someone with much more life experience, she also shared many thoughtful pieces of advice with us as young people. We ended up talking about so many different things. Those conversations genuinely made us feel more confident, especially when it comes to communicating with people and experiencing life in New Zealand. We really appreciated her patience, kindness, and willingness to share her experiences with us. She also has an adorable dog! She is very sweet and well-behaved, and we were able to interact with her and give her lots of pats. Most importantly, she is incredibly quiet and listens very well to her owner, so she never disturbed our rest at all. This wasn't just a comfortable place to sleep — it felt like a genuinely warm and memorable experience. If you're looking for somewhere affordable, clean, beautiful, and welcoming, especially somewhere that feels a little more personal than an ordinary accommodation, you really can't go wrong staying here. Thank you so much for having us. We will remember our stay and our conversations very fondly!

A very comfortable and welcoming place to stay the night. A lovely room and the host and her beautiful dog were fantastic company. Excellent value. Hope I have the opportunity to stay again.
