The Space:

A studio-style suite at The Grand Lodge, steps from the base of Crested Butte. The king bed sits in its own alcove, separate from the living room, so four guests aren't stacked on top of each other.

➔ Sleeping: King bed in a walled-off alcove, plus a sofa sleeper in the living room — sleeps 4.

➔ Living room: Sofa sleeper, TV, and a window framing the mountain. Where you land after the slopes.

➔ Kitchenette: Mini fridge, microwave, stovetop, coffee maker, and dishware — built for breakfasts, snacks, and reheats, not a holiday dinner.

➔ Bathroom: Full bath with a tub, towels, and starter toiletries.

➔ The building (Grand Lodge): Year-round hot tub and heated indoor/outdoor pool, gym, steam room, lobby fireplace, ski storage, elevator, EV charging, and free parking (one pass per unit).

3 Pros:

✔ 100 yards to the lifts — one of the closest walks to the base you'll find

✔ Hot tub and heated pool open 365 days a year, warm even on winter nights

✔ Dog-friendly (Up to 2 pets max, $50 fee), and the most affordable building at the base

2 Cons:

✔ Built in 1999 — clean, but the unit and common areas have a 1990s hotel feel, not a recent remodel

✔ No A/C — Mt. Crested Butte stays cool at 9,375 ft, and the windows open if you want air

Guest Access:

You have the whole condo to yourself, plus full run of the Grand Lodge shared amenities: heated indoor/outdoor pool, hot tub, gym, steam room, lobby fireplace, and ski storage. Self check-in by keypad. One parking pass per unit for the building lot, and EV charging is on site. Note: the pool, hot tub, and gym are run by the building's HOA, not Traverse — on the rare day one is down for maintenance, the timing isn't ours to control.

The Neighborhood:

The Grand Lodge sits at the base of Crested Butte Ski Resort in Mt. Crested Butte, 100 yards from the lifts. The base area's restaurants, bars, and ski rental shops are a short walk in your boots. Historic downtown Crested Butte — Elk Avenue's shops, art galleries, and dining — is a 7-minute drive or a free town shuttle ride that stops right outside. In summer and fall, Crested Butte is wildflower, hiking, mountain-biking, and rafting country, with trailheads minutes from the door. Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport (GUC) is about a 40-minute drive.

Getting Around:

The free town shuttle stops right outside the Grand Lodge and runs between Mt. Crested Butte and downtown, so you can park the car and leave it. The lifts, base-area restaurants, and ski rentals are all walkable in ski boots. Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport (GUC) is about a 40-minute drive; Denver is roughly 4.5 hours.

Other Things to Note:

License #315952

No air conditioning — Mt. Crested Butte stays cool year-round at 9,375 ft, and the windows open if you want air.

Dog-friendly: up to 2 pets ($50 fee)

Housekeeping is Airbnb-style — no daily linen service. A mid-stay turnover is available with 24-hour notice on request.

The pool, hot tub, gym, and steam room are operated by the building's HOA. If one is temporarily down for maintenance, the timing isn't ours to control.
