About this country house rental
Le Cerisier has been fully renovated to a high standard by local artisans ensuring that old meets new sympathetically. It has been furnished with either new or antique furniture to match the building. The outside under cover eating area is a favourite where you can dine alfresco and enjoy the tranquillity and the wildlife. The large 12m X 6m pool is enclosed and has it's own facilities including toilet, shower and kitchen area. The grounds offer a large amount of privacy and you can explore the fruit orchard to see whats available to eat, the cherries are wonderful. As the house has WIFI, Sat TV, Blue Ray etc you could spend all your time enjoying the property however there are some great times to be had by visiting the local area and the coast. You could canoe down the river(15mins), surf in the Cote Sauvage(45mins), taste the local Pineau or Cognac(30mins), buy some oysters of the boat at La Tramblade(45mins), try out the market in Saintes(10mins) or dine in the local restaurants.

We have just spent the best two weeks in this lovely renovated property. It was everything we had wished for and more. The setting was beautiful and so peaceful. We enjoyed walking down to the river and taking the bac to Chanier every day for bread. The house itself has been finished to a very high quality and had everything we needed. We particularly enjoyed the covered outside area. The pool was fantastic and the perfect way to finish off a day spent sightseeing. Thanks so much!

Only downside is pool not heated so couldn't go in it until late afternoon when it had warmed up a bit which was difficult to explain to a 3 year old. Other then that the property was excellent well equipped and full of character and colour scheme was brilliantly matched. Would definitely recommend and return again. Thankyou Russ.

"Les cerises" is an authentic "Charentais" farm which is nicely renovated and very well equipped. Especially the kitchen is fantastic with its oven. Also the fantastic terras and the surrounding grounds we loved. We did stay for 2 weeks late september. The first week was very warm and therefore we used the lovely pool several times. The services from the french Lady for the owner were perfect.
The villages Courcoury and Chaniers are reel French and very quiet.
The Charente maritime is a lovely Departement. Authentic French and with an interesting coast.

As a party of 9 (4 adults, 5 children) we couldn’t fault the property! Peaceful location and perfect house - well equipped and very clean. The pool was such a bonus - it was very hot when we stayed and we spent lots of time in the pool cooling off!
The surrounding area has lots to offer - we visited the towns of Saintes and Cognac as well as the beaches at Royan and Côte Sauvage - all of which were really fun days out!
We all highly recommend the house!
