I stayed at the Sun Apartment in March and was genuinely impressed. At nearly 90m², the space is exceptionally generous, plenty of room to spread out, relax, and truly feel at home rather than in a holiday rental. The location on the hill in Mavrikiano village is stunning, with beautiful views over the bay. A heads-up for first-timers: the streets are quite narrow, so having a dedicated parking space included is an absolute lifesaver, I really appreciated it. Inside, the apartment was well-equipped even for longer stays than mine. The kitchen had everything I needed, and I loved finding coffee, tea, water, and some snacks already provided. Tap water in the area isn't ideal for drinking, so that was a useful practical detail. The air conditioning worked brilliantly on heating mode, which was essential as March can be quite cool. The WiFi was fast and reliable, perfect for catching up with my work remotely.

March is the off-season, so most restaurants in the area were closed, I'd recommend coming prepared with some groceries. The weather was also rainy for much of my stay (though that's Crete in early spring, not the apartment's fault!). One small wish: a little shelf of books to borrow (and a TV, which I understood is on the roadmap) would make those cozy rainy days even better. Overall, a really wonderful stay. I'll absolutely love to be back when the sun is out and the tavernas are open!
