The hostel was clean, pretty new, and the bunk beds are slightly larger than what you usually get at other hostels, which is great. Only downside is the storage under the beds. It has plenty of width but lacks depth, so you won't be able to fit a standard carry-on suitcase under there. Everything else is fully online and very convenient. I had to check in late at night, and the staff was incredibly helpful. They even sent a video showing exactly how to find the hostel and my room. 5/5 for guidance!

Berlin Sleep Club isn't a traditional hostel in the way you might picture one — there's no communal kitchen, no lounge to sprawl in. Think well-appointed dormitories in one of Berlin's most characterful neighbourhoods. On those terms, it delivers. Max, who runs the place, went out of his way to make my stay as comfortable as possible, and I left feeling genuinely grateful for that. It makes a real difference when the person in charge actually cares. The beds are wide and comfortable — more room than you typically get in a dorm — and the bathrooms are shared between two: one mixed, one women-only. Worth knowing before you book: there are no separate shower cubicles, so if you need full privacy when washing, this probably isn't the right fit. If that doesn't bother you, you'll be absolutely fine. The neighbourhood, Prenzlauer Berg, is an absolute treat. Independent cafés, bars, restaurants and boutiques right on the doorstep — the kind of area you wander around and immediately want to live in. You won't struggle to fill your time or your stomach. For what it is and what it costs, I'd recommend it — especially if you're after something a little more quietly personal than the usual hostel buzz. Just go in with the right expectations and you'll leave happy. Good to know: no kitchen or common room on site — this is dorms and bathrooms only. Two shared bathrooms (one mixed, one women-only), no private shower cubicles. The neighbourhood more than compensates for anything the building lacks.
