Only 7 km from YYC Sandstone Homestay

The owner was very nice and flexible for our needs. As for the rooms - they were clean and good enough for a one night stay before or after your flight from Calgary airport as it is located not far from the airport. Bathrooms (shared) were also clean and we got clean towels. There is a common room with very basic kitchen stuff - like electric kettle/microwave and fridge (with basic utensils provided) - convenient if you want to make yourself a quick, simple breakfast in the morning. Overall - good enough for a one night stay. You can get to downtown with a direct bus for 4CAD. For airport you have to change buses but it is still convenient enough.

The whole space is located in the basement so please mind that there are no windows in the rooms which makes it sometimes a little too hot (no AC in the rooms) but it was not too bad. The thing that we mostly didn't like was the noise. The walls are very thin so in the morning you can easily get woke up by the other guests. Also - one of the rooms was located next to some kind of pump that made quite a noise starting at around 5am which made it impossible to get a good night sleep. You get to everything through the garage. The bathroom and common space is shared with other guests (but we knew that before as it was written on booking). A TV was listed on the booking - but there is none. We had a mattress on the floor for one person - but it was a "additional bed" that we asked for so can't really complain about it. It felt a little overpriced for what you get so if you can find something else in similar price I would go somewhere else.
