Welcome to the serenity of The Sanctuary at OBX – a modern 6-bedroom vacation rental located in the heart of Corolla's Whalehead Beach Neighborhood. While you'll enjoy the central location - just 1.5 miles north of the Timbuck II and Monterey Plaza shopping centers, and 2 miles south of Historic Corolla Park and Lighthouse - the large wooded lot offers a uniquely secluded feeling that is uncommon on the Northern Beaches. Looking for excitement? Corolla Watersports, Corolla Adventure Park, and the 4x4 beach are all just few minutes drive away, making this a great homebase for adventure enthusiasts.

At the top, you'll find a series of spaces for the family to spread out: an open kitchen with marble countertops, a bar, and plenty of cabinetry, a dining room for everyone to gather in at supper, a living room with a large U-shaped sectional sofa and additional dinner seating, a den with deck access, and a bedroom with 2 twins.
The mid-level boasts three king bedrooms and one queen - all with an en suite bathroom and beautiful tile shower - and a screened-in porch and open deck to savor the ocean breeze. The grilling area is right outside the pool fence, so bringing burgers and hot dogs to the pool deck is only a few steps away – and the open yard on the side of the house gives Fido plenty of space to play, too!

Our stay was ok. The price was fine, and it is a nice short walk to the beach. Our arrival and check in process was stressful, the code provided did not work. It is rented out by a rental company and they were not able to assist us. We were told a service ticket would be created and a technician would be out to the property “soon” We drove 12 hours with 6 kids and 2 dogs. We were pretty frustrated that they couldn’t give us a timeframe to wait. We ended up waiting in our cars because it was cold out and finally did get a call with a working code a while later. The property also must have had renovations recently and there were MANY screws and nails in the driveway and walk paths and we had to be careful. The main kitchen microwave did not work and we notified them and while we were not home, a technician came in to look at it without not notifying us prior. I would overall say the home is spacious, has good kitchen items and several games to play. It’s walking distance to the beach and was quiet at night. The pool was unusable as it was out of season (be sure to read the fine print in the listing as it’s advertised as having a pool but not usable during specific months). We did not use the hot tub as it also looked like it had not been used in a while.
