Casa Arroyo Precioso

We spent 10 days here as a family of six (2 adults, 4 teens/kids). The house is beautiful, perfectly equipped, and serves as an ideal base for exploring the region. Pool & Views: Photos don't do it justice. The views, pool, and decking are incredible. We loved eating under the pergola at sunrise and sunset. Pool toys and indoor games are provided. Amenities & Layout: Features a well-equipped kitchen (no dishwasher, as noted), washing machine (clothes dry in 15 mins!), and three bedrooms (double ensuite, triple bunk/single, and a single). Windows have heat-blocking shutters. There is one AC unit, but all rooms have fans. Ronda & Setenil: Stunning inland cave town—a must-see. Málaga: Great for the old town, marina (kids rented electric cars), nearby go-karting, and excellent outlet shopping discounts. Benalmádena & Torremolinos: Lovely marinas, old towns, and great beachside dining. Nerja (The Highlight): An easy 80-minute drive. Gorgeous sea. Top tip: Eat at the cheap "Little Italian restaurant" 2 minutes from Balcón de Europa, but arrive right at 12:00 PM opening. Álora Town (5 mins away): Steep, narrow mountain streets with incredibly low prices for food, drinks, and haircuts. Excellent local supermarket (closed Sundays, but two small shops in the main square stay open). The Drive: The direct access road is rough and steep, but completely manageable if you're used to mountain roads. Host (Alvero): Highly attentive and friendly. Kept in touch from Ireland to Spain, met us on arrival, and gave advance notice for pool maintenance. Airports: Great logistics—a scenic 2-hour drive from Seville Airport on arrival and a quick 35 minutes to Málaga Airport for departure.

Air conditioning could be better, but not a deal-breaker.
