Great place to unwind and convenient spot for the Caminito del Rey

Loved how tucked away and quiet the place was. Beautiful sunset and sunrise as well! Aircon in the bedroom was wonderful too.

A perfect place to unwind

I had a fantastic three night stay. Accommodation is spacious, even bigger than it looks in the photos, 2 km from the lovely town of Alora in a peaceful rural location with stunning views. Everything was extremely clean and the property was very well prepared for guests with endless thoughtful details. I’ll definitely be back.

Lovely cosy cabin in nature - perfect to unwind

A lovely place in nature where you have a wonderful sunset view and listen to owls at night. Cosy wooden cabin which has everything to feel comfortable. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, reliable wifi and hiking trails starting right at the door step. Short drive to Caminito del Rey. Great host.

Relaxing cabin stay

The cabin is very homey and has everything that you would need! The bed was comfortable and the area is really relaxing. Great porch to take in the surroundings. There are many great hiking routes close by and Jane made sure that we had everything that we needed and even gave us some of her duck eggs. We will be back! 100% recommend!

Loved it!

I really enjoyed my stay here! The log cabin consists of 3 separate spaces and from outside it looks like two separate ones. Kitchen & living room area has a gas stove for heating and enough comfortable seating for at least four people, a twin bed / couch and a dining table. In bedroom there´s an AC, enough space for storing clothes and a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape. I spent also a lot time sitting on the comfy chairs right outside the cabin doors. Bathroom is located in the middle and it´s equipped with a tub. Enough hot water was available all day around as well. For one person at least. I was here for two nights in march and hiked all the nearest routes. The nature, views, pine forrests, the town of Alora all made an impression. Communicating with the hostess, Jane, was both easy and effortless and she walked me through everything from how to heat the room up with a gas stove up to tips of how to drive on the narrow roads It´s not the most modern facility next to the supermarkets (a few km) and the tap water is not drinkable although there was some 6-7 liters left for my use by the host, so this place might not be for you if you´re looking the easiest stay. For me though these things made it even more perfect couple of days in the country!

Relaxed quiet place, great views

I like the fact that it is quiet here, with view on mountain El Hacho. To get to Finca la Pedra, you drive up a mountain through the oliveyards on a small road with great views. Jane is very friendly and welcoming and will answer any question you may have. In the cabana you have everything you need for cooking etc.

I can imagine there are even better times to visit then february, but still no complaints! You really don't want to forget one little thing when you go for groceries

Jane was a perfect hostess, very friendly and helpful. Tha cabana was very quaint and comfortable and had everything needed and more. A good base from which to explore the stunning area. I would recommend private transport as train station is a good way from property although Jane was good about picking me up.

Jane is a really nice host. The Fincas location is very private with a great view, pool and beautiful surrounding. Our child loved the animals of the farm and Jane sowed us all of them.

I loved everything about Finca La Piedra! Location is amazing, in a very tranquil setting surrounded by mountains and with nature all around. A nice walk into Alora, which is about 3.5 kms away and takes about 35 minutes. The owner, Jane, is a lovely welcoming woman, who went out of her way to make sure my stay was comfortable. The cabin itself was just beautiful. Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, with everything you could possibly need. The kitchen had every utensil imaginable. The beds are so comfortable! And a beautiful terrace area where you can sit and just take in the beautiful view of the mountains and gorgeous sunsets. A perfect piece of paradise and a haven in which to just switch off and relax. I will definitely be returning!!

Fantastic stay and wonderful hosts

Fantastic owner, Jane was so helpful, informative and friendly. Beautiful setting, very well kitted out with kitchen crockery and utensils and extra blankets in the bedroom as it gets pretty cold at night this time of year! For such a remote location it’s a very well run lodge and feels safe.

Magical farm stay near a lovely town

Couldn't ask for a quieter, more beautiful location among the olive trees and sweet farm animals nearby. Internet is strong for remote working, I stayed 2 weeks. The little cabins are well-supplied with whatever you might need. And Jane is a kind, good-natured host.

Beautiful, remote and tranquil surroundings yet attractions, shopping and town life are only a few minutes away

I spent 3 weeks with my dog in Finca la Piedra and absolutely loved it. The area and surroundings are quiet and perfect to unplug from a busy lifestyle. I did bring my work with me, however, and the internet connection was fast and secure. The property is connected to trails with great viewpoints and the small and beautiful town of Alora is only a 10 minute drive away. Jane, the owner, is very kind, helpful and knows how to make her guests feel welcome and well taken care of. The cabin was cozy, spacious and with a gas oven to keep me warm in the chilled evenings. The view over the mountains from the cabins is amazing. Lake Chorro and Carminito del Rey are within a half hour drive away.

Superb little spot in the Mountains of Alora

Superb location. Excellent accommodation that's spacious and well appointed. Everything you need plus wifi in this remote area is exceptional. Jane was beyond helpful and made my stay very comfortable and went the extra mile.

Escape from the city, close to El Caminito

The host was very nice and friendly. She provided drinking water jar (8 L) as you cannot drink the tap water. The location is in the mountains, very quiet, only olive trees around. Nice sitting area outside the cabin to sip wine in the evening. The cabin has kitchen with stove, fridge, bathroom, a living room and a bedroom. El Caminito del Rey is about 40 min drive, very convenient location if you plan to visit. Grocery store (Marcedona) about min min drive

The beds mattresses of a better quality would be a great advantage.

La casa de madera es verdadaremante cómoda, tiene todo lo necesario y su entorno muy agradable, con espacio para disfrutar de la tarde-noche. Genial para ir con mascotas, aunque la mía ladra más de lo normal. La anfitriona siempre estuvo penientes de nosotros.

Las camas, aunque hay que decir que cada uno tiene su gusto en el este sentido. A mí me parecieron demasiado blandas. En vez de dos camas, yo apostaría por una grande de matrimonio, pero solo es una opinión. Los caminos de acceso son muy mejorables, aunque entiendo que la anfitriona no tiene nada que ver en este aspecto.

UNA SEMANA EN EL INFIERNO.

Absolutamente nada, es una estafa tanto las fotos como el alojamiento, ojala se le queme y nadie tenga que pasar por la misma experiencia.

Bueno, espero que tengan tiempo para leer... Alquilamos las dos cabañas a principio de año para irnos a final de agosto principios de septiembre una cantidad de 11 noches. El camino para llegar al recinto no está asfaltado, con lo que se te puede pinchar una rueda y te quedas tirado, las dos cabañas son espaciosas. El charco: habitacion sucia con telarañas en los techos, utensilios de cocina sucios, muebles antiguos, cocina de hornilla antigua, sillas y butacas en mal estado debido a la dejadez y lo cutre que son los propietarios Mike y Jane, los cuales hablan ingles y el hombre ni siquiera quiso usar el traductor google para comunicarse, personas que se ven poco higienicas, el baño igual, no estaba limpio y tuvimos que limpiar un poco para poder subsistir, todo mal, casa con arañas y bichos y camas incomodas, por supuesto ni una triste televisión. La presión del agua baja y las luces se apagaban solas debido tambien a la falta de potencia pareciendo mas bien una película de terror que de un alojamiento con cédula de habitabilidad. El chorro: Prácticamente igual que la cabaña anterior, todo en mal estado y aun con menos presión en el agua, siendo prácticamente imposible realizar actividades cotidianas como ducharse o lavar los platos, por supuesto ninguna de las dos cabañas cuentan con agua potable, por lo que aparte del precio que pagas por el alojamiento tienes que gastar un dinero extra en agua para lavarte los dientes o hacer unos simples macarrones con tomate. En el baño encontramos arañas de gran tamaño, suelos mojados y ventiladores con mucha suciedad, lo único a destacar tanto de esta como de la cabaña anterior son los aires acondicionados que funcionaban, algo sorprendente debido al mal mantenimiento.

UN SITIO PERFECTO PARA DESCANSAR

Hemos pasado unos días maravillosos, es un lugar donde hemos podido descansar y desconectar que es lo que necesitábamos, la casa es preciosa, limpia y muy bien equipada, además la piscina es un gran plus, es pequeña pero para darse un chapuzón y refrescarse es perfecta, la anfitriona Jane ha sido muy amable y cercana y nos regaló huevos, volveremos sin duda.

Ideal para visitar la zona

La ubicación es perfecta para visitar una zona con mucho patrimonio (además del famoso Caminito del Rey, hay cuevas, yacimientos, castillos... ubicados en pueblos preciosos). Se añade como extra la tranquilidad del estar en medio del campo con todo lo necesario para una estancia cómoda. Jane, la propietaria, lo pone todo muy fácil. Lo recomiendo mucho.

Quizá el camino de acceso no se encuentra en el mejor estado pero tampoco es un impedimento para elegir el alojamiento porque apenas son 5 minutos con precaución. Por lo demás, la relación calidad-precio no puede ser mejor para un mes de agosto en Málaga.

Tranquilidad en plena naturaleza

Me encantó la ubicación, en mitad de una finca enorme en plena naturaleza. La cabaña tiene todo lo necesario. Justo al lado está el Monte Hacho donde hay rutas de senderismos muy bonitas.
