The Shire Glamping

Our stay had exceeded every bit of our expectations. The hosts were attentive, thorough, accomodating and some of the kindest people I have ever met. They were even happy to drive us into town for groceries and to make sure we got to our train on time in the morning. This is one of the most unforgettable experiences I have ever had, and even though I live out of the country, I plan on making a trip into the UK solely to enjoy The Shire again. My coworkers and I will be talking about this place for many years to come, and we hope to be back in the area as soon as possible.

There is not a single thing I would change about the entire place. The owners have really created something unique, and it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience. If you are even remotely hesitating to stay here, book it now. This entire campground is perfect for families, solo trips, work trips and even just for an evening.

It was beautiful, So stunning, the views were amazing and, the hosts couldn’t be nicer and more welcoming. Families were so welcomed and kids were aloud to be kids! They set up rock painting for our boys which was adorable and they left their stones for when we come back (which will 100% will) in the memory/fairy garden! They had swing ball, board games, pool table and a rope swing which was a huge hit with the kids! The tents were beautiful, with everything we needed! They even decorated with balloons and a card and my husbands favourite drink as it was his birthday! Because it rained they left colouring for the boys which was a big hit! The bed was so comfy and the pillows so soft with a lovely duvet and fleece blankets too! Slippers - again the kids loved them, water, tea, coffee, milk and more! Marshmallows left for the fire pits too! The shower block was beautiful and everywhere was super clean! The hosts made sure it was spotless as we moved around and I didn’t even notice them doing it, so didn’t make us feel like we needed to put things away inbetween activities as knowing kids they flick back and forth (even though I would have!) but they made it totally relaxing! Honestly even though we got unlucky with the weather we still had the best time! And I honestly can’t wait to go back! Recommend to everyone for sure!
