Great location Facilities inside the house were great and no complaints. Updated kitchen and bathrooms in the spacious property were fantastic. There’s so much within a few kilometres such as restaurants, towns, beaches, wineries, walking, sunsets (spectacular) We were one of the first people to book this “New” place at over $700 per night. What we hoped for would have been worth it for our family birthdays and summer holidays. We did provide the agency with significant private correspondence and feedback and ideas for improving the rental experience. The owners were less sympathetic to our concerns.

The pool was not cleaned or even useable during our stay. It was one of the main attractions of the property as we were unsure about the algal situation at the nearby beaches. Also due to non-compliance issues you could not access the pool from the house (doors were bolted shut - I understand the safety concerns) but this was also the access to the BBQ-Alfresco area that was locked. You could access the area from around the outside of the property… but very inconvenient. Also it was advertised as ‘dog friendly’ but there were so many weeds and seeds in the area (I know it was “rural”) but we really couldn’t let our small dog out…. and the massive neighbours dogs had free access into and right up to the backyard and windows of the property… not very relaxing at all. We spent some hours trying to clean/ vacuum the pool ourselves. Ran the pool filter system overnight did our own backwash (without any instructions) …. Chemicals were left lying around (we have alerted the agents to the OHS risks) We contacted the agency directly who were sympathetic (??) and understanding (??) of our feedback, but we were basically told that the owners said “it’s a rural property and it what it is”
