Nestled in the quiet hamlet of Quoditch, Ashwater, halfway between Dartmoor and the North Cornish Coast, this charming shepherd’s hut is the perfect base for exploring North Cornwall and West Devon. Overlooking the beautiful Carey Valley, it offers a peaceful countryside escape for two. Take in the sweeping views or gather around the firepit under the stars. Nearby, discover scenic walks, local shops, wildlife experiences, and stunning Cornish beaches.
Inside the hut there is a very comfortable double sofa bed overlooking the stunning views of the countryside, a well-equipped kitchenette with a mini fridge, air-fryer, microwave, and an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower.
Step outside into the fresh country air and feel instantly connected to the peaceful natural surroundings. A private decked veranda offers a lovely spot to enjoy meals or unwind with a good book, while the patio features comfortable seating around the firepit, perfect for stargazing on crisp, clear evenings under the vast night sky.
Wander across the expansive private land that stretches down to the River Carey, where scenic walking trails link to nearby footpaths. Take time to dip your toes into the gentle river or simply pause and enjoy the tranquillity.
Bude’s beautiful beaches, including Summerleaze, Widemouth, and others, are amongst the closest to the hut, offering sandy shores, surf, and dramatic coastal scenery just a short drive away. Arcadia Shepherd's Hut is a serene hideaway, ideal for couples or solo travellers seeking rest, nature, and a break from the bustle of everyday life. On-site, there’s a Celtic-style stone medicine wheel, a meditative space where you can unwind and connect with the peaceful surroundings.
