Discover our idyllic holiday home in picturesque Falmenra, just 11 km from Lake Maggiore in Italy. Our charming holiday homes, situated in a quiet and sunny south-facing location in Falmenta - Durone in Valle Cannobina, offer you a perfect blend of Italian flair, Mediterranean lifestyle and Alpine atmosphere. The houses are surrounded by nature and are only a 15-minute walk from Falmenta. Please bring rucksacks, not suitcases! Very close to the Swiss border and surrounded by the breathtaking mountains of Piemonte, a holiday far away from mass tourism awaits you here, where gentle tourism and sustainability are very important. We offer accommodation that is ideal for couples or families of up to 3 people, while our large holiday home opposite offers additional space for 5 to 6 people.
Inside the house you will find a lovingly equipped kitchen that leaves nothing to be desired - from pots, pans and crockery to a kettle, espresso maker, milk frother and toaster to induction hobs and a fridge. The living area is cosily furnished with a large corner bench, table, chair and armchair and invites you to linger with books and a chess set. In addition, electric stoves and a wood-burning fireplace provide cosy warmth. The bathroom is equipped with a shower, toilet, washbasin and the necessary toiletries, while the sleeping areas are characterised by variable bed systems and comfortable carpets.
The outside area of the house offers a veranda and a small garden for outdoor relaxation. Equipped with garden furniture, deckchairs and a parasol, you can enjoy the mountain views and unwind here. The location in the car-free, old stone house village of Durone and the direct access to numerous hiking trails make for a unique holiday experience in the midst of unspoilt nature.
Our holiday homes are located in a dreamlike setting that invites you to explore. They are just a few steps away from traditional old stone houses, palm trees, chestnut trees and fig trees.
