Welcome to our charming cottage Akkerland, beautifully located in Zandvoorde near Zonnebeke, the second smallest village in Belgium. This picturesque village with its flat landscape undoubtedly inspired Brel's song "Vlaanderen Vlakke Land". Our cottage is fully equipped to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom equipped with a walk-in shower, washbasin and toilet. The main bedroom offers optional space for 1 or 2 extra beds. On the ground floor, besides an additional walk-in shower and toilet, you will also find an infrared sauna for relaxing moments. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances including an espresso machine and a dishwasher, in addition to a cosy living room, dining area, breakfast corner and a storage room with washing machine and dryer. The outdoor area of Akkerland is spacious with a fully enclosed, landscaped garden for optimal privacy. At the rear, the south-facing terrace lets you enjoy the expansive landscape and warm sunshine. A second terrace, a bit further from the house, offers the perfect place to have breakfast in the sun in the morning. In summer, a sofa set with cushions, tables, chairs and a BBQ are ready for use. A heated swimming pool with integrated jacuzzi is also available from 21 March to 11 November. OPTIONAL BOOKING The surroundings of Akkerland offer extensive recreational opportunities. The city of Ypres and surrounding municipalities such as Poperinge and Heuvelland are within easy reach and offer numerous attractions. Active guests can enjoy various hiking trails, such as the guesthouse forest hiking trail, or visit the in-door ski slope in Komen-Waasten. For children, adventure trails, boating and theme parks such as Bellewaerde and Plopsaland are nearby.
