Clean, great but busy and urban location, basic facilities and nice bed

NO SMOKE ALARMS. Firstly, the price isn't the real price - you will have to pay £500 deposit OR £50 extra ( you don't get back) so it feels a bit scammy from the off. Was quite stressful as you can't cancel and then they hit you with another bill. So was worried it was a scam. Not so helpful - I asked to keep my luggage in the building for a few hours before my train (not the room) but was denied which is a shame as it left a bad taste. You can't get hold of anyone on a phone and email is slow - they did eventually help me get the internet. No one on site to help it's all done remotely. Very loud neighbours , woman shouting til 3am. Lots to comings and goings so if you are a light sleeper it's not the one. You can hear everything through the walls and maybe it's students as they are back very late. Not much ventilation so in heat it's pretty bad. Didn't want to leave windows open as there are no bars and someone could just jump in. So it's a downstairs ground floor building with little light and no view. It's basic but clean and comfortable and any stuff you need is done remotely so slow. It would be helpful if it felt a bit less like a scam and more concerned. Fridge leaked.
