MAXONE Batam

Location was fantastic. Check in and check out was fuss-free. The breakfast buffet was noticeably better than my first visit in Jan 2026. They have a couple more additional options for breakfast, so that's pretty great. Aircon is still plenty strong, and can be turned down to 16C!

One thing I noticed is that the breakfast variety was a lot better on weekends, instead of weekdays, which was odd.. Feels like you're shortchanging guests who took leave to visit during the week to avoid crowds, instead of weekend.. Another thing is that the cleanliness of the washroom has very noticeably declined since my Jan 2026 visit. There were a lot more black, moldy grout lines in the shower area.

Nice and very affordable hotel. No wardrobe in the rooms to store our clothes. TV had no live channels. Only Netflix and Youtube available. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Breakfast served was decent and nice too. Additional breakfast is priced at Rp150,000 per pax. Location is about 10min drive to the malls.

There are some area for improvement which I would like to highlight to the hotel management to make it a better stay for others in future. I have booked 4 rooms for 3D2N stay. 1. Very clean room but poorly installed toilet towel rack and still came late to fix (need to call twice to come) 2. One of the room’s toilet had a clogged bathroom drain so the shower floor was flooded. Despite alerting the management, nothing was done to rectify it. Fortunately, our stay was no more than 2 nights. Otherwise, we would have requested a change of room if we had stayed longer.
