Great location and a lovely house It was ideal for our short break House was nicely furnished and very comfortable

Everything was good

House was very comfortable, with spacious ground floor that flowed well and 3 good-sized double bedrooms. Garden was lovely and particularly appreciated by our dogs. Well-equipped kitchen with everything we needed - we liked the fact that essentials such as milk, coffee bens and condiments were all provided.

Areas for improvement: 1. The wifi speed was woefully slow - less than 5Mb/s when speeds of more than 1000Mb/s are now commonplace. This slow speed does not support remote working - remote conference calls were very laggy - and seemed to be the cause of the TV not being able to find a signal when we first arrived 2. There are many pieces of equipment in the house and the kitchen is large with lots of equipment. It would have been helpful to have an 'instruction manual' for the house that explained how everything (including TV, coffee maker etc) works, and also advised where to find various utensils, crockery etc in the kitchen 3. Emma (who is not the owner but an agent) could have been more helpful, both before and during our stay. She was a little slow at responding to queries before our stay and had a habit of not answering the questions I asked but instead providing answers to a somewhat different question. For example, I asked if we could park our car at the property before checking in but she responded by saying that we could check in 2 hours earlier. She was also defensive and unhelpful when I reported the slow wifi speed and the problem with the TV signal, saying that 'nobody had reported that before'. This is not helpful and I suggest the owner finds another agent to manage the property.

Excellent garden and fantastic location

- Amazing location with stunning views. Only 10mins walk down to the centre. - Very high internal finishings and really appreciated the extra touches (coffee beans/ground coffee) and lots of other little touches (new kitchen towel/toilet rolls) that made you feel that you were walking into a show home. - As a family of 7 we loved the large dining table and sofa that enabled us to sit comfortably altogether throughout our stay. We also liked that every room effectively had its own separate bathroom. - The ability to park our 3 cars on the drive was also a real plus. - The host was also VERY responsive which we really appreciated.

We struggled to use the oven so would suggest a cheat sheet for this and maybe an air fryer as a backup! A pair of normal scissors and some larger mixing bowls in the kitchen would also be useful. We had a few other minor snags that we shared with the host but none of these detracted from what was otherwise an incredible and very memorable stay. The thing we disliked most was having to leave.
