About this house rental
Life as it was 100 years ago
The name: …. “The Cabin” was chosen as the name for the house because a cabin in the mountains, like no other house, embodies coziness, authenticity, serenity, and relaxation.
Characteristics: A farmhouse full of character, romance, and history—approximately 600 years old—that has been (and is being) restored with great care and sensitivity. Particular emphasis was placed on preserving the old while complementing it with modern comforts. Thus, the ancient wisdom of our early ancestors—who knew how to live healthily and comfortably—has been combined with the latest insights regarding holistic, energy-efficient living space design. Earth and water radiation, as well as building biology, are criteria that have been and continue to be given special attention during the restoration.
Please bring your own bed linens, dish towels, and bath towels.
Unfortunately, we have to heat all rooms with electricity (wood is no longer permitted).
A quick note on billing: I want to keep the billing as fair as possible, so electricity is charged at €0.42 per kWh based on actual consumption. A €5.00 visitor’s tax is due per night per guest.
Everyone who stays here gets a glimpse of how things used to be and how “simple” can also mean “so much.” You shouldn’t mind the occasional visit from a mouse or two, small windows, and low door frames. In return, though, you’ll get something that’s no longer common and is truly unique.
Amenities at 1 min. from the ski area, very old house with charm, sauna and waterfall behind the house
