Peace and relaxation surrounded by nature. The Herrenmühle, an old watermill, is a historic landmark and cultural treasure located in Freudenburg at the entrance to the Kollesleuker Schweiz along the König-Johann-Runde hiking trail. An extraordinary gem in an idyllic prime location on the Leuk River, it is an ideal starting point for hikes, bike rides, and excursions in the border triangle of France, Luxembourg, and Germany.
Herrenmühle Guest House:
The guesthouse is located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Herrenmühle and covers a total of 150 m². It features a kitchen, a bathroom with a shower, and a large open living area. This living room is divided into three areas; two leather sofas invite you to watch TV, use Wi-Fi, listen to music, read, or relax—and on cooler days, watch the fire in the wood-burning stove. Two comfortable armchairs with massage functions are available. At the oak table, which seats up to 12 people, you can enjoy meals and chat in a cozy atmosphere. An extensive collection of games awaits you. The kitchen is fully equipped, and from there you can step out onto one of the two balconies; with a little luck, you’ll spot black storks foraging or simply enjoy the view of nature.
The attic features a bathroom with a corner bathtub and a walk-in shower, as well as three bedrooms and a fully equipped utility room with a washer and dryer available free of charge. The Chestnut Room features a 1.80 m wide double bed and plenty of storage space in the custom-built solid-wood closets. The Green Room features a 1.40 m French bed, as well as a closet/dresser and a desk. The third room contains two 90 x 200 box-spring beds (used as single beds), a sideboard with a TV, and a closet. The perfect conditions for a good night’s sleep.
A lockable room for bicycles, e-bikes, etc., is available, as well as ample parking. Guests are welcome to use the outdoor area, which features garden furniture, a grill area, and a lawn for sunbathing.
