Living in a Victorian home was a real experience - like living in a museum
Being a Victorian experience meant sharing the bathroom with everyone (not at the same time :)

The owner was lovely and gave my daughter a separate bedroom, even though we’d booked a twin room. Location was fabulous - good eateries nearby, short drive to the city, short walk for sight seeing up Mt Eden.
We loved everything but it’s important to note that it’s a shared bathroom with the owner & guests (clearly explained, & no problem for us). We needed to give a rough time of our nightly return, & morning departures so that the gate was unlocked & front door unbolted. Great security … but not always good for spontaneity.

Such friendly and helpful girls who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Wonderful to have electric blankets and heaters but actually, even though it's a great old home with high ceilings, we weren't cold at all. Huge rooms with period features retained. Great off street parking. The back gardens back on to the native bush at the bottom of Mt Eden so we could hear the native birds
Only face flannels as hand towels hanging in the towel rings but that's really not so bad in view of all the lovely things about this place
