Superior One Bedroom Apartment in Old Riga

Comfortable apartment, much larger than it appears in the pictures Customer service exceeded my expectations

The location, as well as the size of the apartment were super convenient for us and made our stay in Riga easier. There were several facilities nearby such as a supermarket and coffee shops/fast food restaurants.

I initially did not receive the instructions email the host claimed they sent (checked all inboxes and spam folders), so getting in the apartment was quite difficult at first, we had to make multiple phone calls until the host eventually picks up, so we can get inside. While this might be a simple mistake or miscommunication, I cannot say the same about the cleanliness of the apartment. We found hair in the bathroom and dust was everywhere, suggesting that the apartment had not been properly cleaned before our arrival and making us doubt about the rest of the offered commodities, such as the linen and towels. We also wanted to drink water and cook a few simple meals to get us through the day, but, to our surprise, all dishes, pots and pans, and even the electric kettle, were not clean enough and had a compelling odour. We were extremely disappointed and, as much as we would love to remain neutral in this situation, we would never recommend staying in this apartment, especially if you’re looking for a place where you can easily cook and feel like home. If they were careful about these basic things, we would have nothing to say, as the apartment is really spacious and central. I’m sorry but you lost us here, keeping a space clean is fundamental when you’re offering accommodation and you failed to provide such a basic thing. I’m sharing photos as proof of what I just described.
