Spacious 2 Bed Apartment in Central Margate

Lots of room, very handy for old town.

A little out of town to walk to/from, but not too much, and once the level way to the harbour and front is found the 'old' Margate then reveals itself. Flat was bright and reasonably well kept, there is plenty of room (at least for 2), and the beds were comfortable, my wife found the kitchen easy to work in. As, it seems, with all rented accommodation, the TV's never work like at home and don't let you choose the usual list of 99 channels at a click. Central heating very good once you've worked it out on the boiler.

There were no keys in either of the 2 lockboxes on arrival and someone had to be called out to bring them (this could be a ploy to give potential renters the once-over); it wasn't raining when we arrived, but we would have been extremely annoyed if it had been. The shower/bath is raised a little, there is no hand-rail/pull up to help you in and, more seriously, out - very dangerous if anything slippy is still around after showering. The freezer was just a solid block of ice and there wasn't a spare ice pick around from a climbing expedition to get any for your drink! - soon the ice will be pushing the door open. The fridge is fine. The fridge freezer unit is unfinished cheap tat and gives a poor impression. It's a good 20 minute walk to/from the railway station
