About this cottage rental
With 180 m² spread over two levels, this cottage combines old-world charm with modern comfort. The ground floor comprises an entrance hall, a fully equipped kitchen opening onto a bright living room and a welcoming dining area. The living room opens onto the terrace, perfect for enjoying time with friends and family surrounded by nature. A games area with a pool table provides lively evenings, while children have their own dedicated play area. This level also includes a bedroom with a queen-size bed, a shower room, a separate toilet, and a laundry room. Upstairs, a mezzanine with a television and games leads to three bedrooms: one with a queen-size bed, one with two single beds (with extra sleeping space), and a third with two single beds and a double bed on a mezzanine (not suitable for children under 6). A bathroom with a walk-in shower, bathtub, and toilet completes this level. Parking is available at the foot of the building, with the option to leave belongings in front of the cottage. For your convenience, utilities are included, and beds are made upon arrival. In the heart of the Pilat Regional Natural Park, Doizieux is a prime destination for nature and heritage enthusiasts. From the gîte, set off to discover the Oeillon and Perdrix ridges, a Natura 2000 protected area, or explore the marked trails around the dam. The village's charm unfolds at every turn: typical farmhouses, old mills, a wash house, sculpted crosses, and the square tower visible from the gîte's terrace. A former silk mill dating back to before the French Revolution, the building has been carefully renovated by the owners, preserving the high ceilings, exposed beams, and stone walls. The living room opens onto the wooden terrace, inviting you to share convivial moments surrounded by unspoiled nature. Just 10 km from the A47 motorway, this haven of peace is ideally located between Saint-Étienne and Lyon. La Chouette occupies the two upper floors of a former municipal building, with the ground floor used by the town hall. It has a private entrance with outdoor space.
