Oceanview Penthouse on Maui 1BD Walk to Beach

Location is great. It is the 6th floor ocean-facing unit that is just across S. Kihei from a lovely beach park and a short walk to the awesome Charlie Young Beach which is the go-to beach for that location. The unit has a great view of the water and sunsets and good for whale watching (the unit includes 2 pairs of binoculars). Unit has a big sliding door (with screen) in the front facing the ocean and the apartment gets a lot of fresh air. There is a fully equipped kitchen (good assortment of pots, pans and utensils) making it easy to cook your own meals and save some $$; it is two blocks from the Foodland supermarket, a good enough place to shop. I bought a lot of fresh fish there (to be cooked) during my stay. A complementary bottle of wine was in the refrigerator when I arrived, a very nice welcoming touch. A good (GE) washer and dryer set is in the unit. The bed was comfortable. The unit has an expresso machine and Keurig machine with reusable cartridge. The stove is modern and in good working order. The unit is in downtown Kihei with restaurants and bars in either direction and close to the food-truck court. Don't let the "food-truck" name keep you away, there is some very good food to be had a very reasonable price at the food trucks. The owner(s) were very good to work with and available to answer questions. The unit was clean and ready to go. A number of semi-essential amenities were in the bathroom and some condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayo, etc. already in the fridge). Unit had a good assortment of bathroom and kitchen towels along with a few very nice beach towels. Personally I would not hesitate to stay here again, the place is ready to go. There is an AC unit in the living area and the bedroom. Also important, Ligia was available for questions via text and an associate, Mike, offered to drive me to the airport at 7AM on the morning of my departure (for small fee, of course). Being on S. Kihei Rd, it was noisy at times but the town mostly shuts down by 9 or 10 PM and it's quieter after that. Although the bedroom has an AC unit along side other windows that could be opened but I was not able to do so. It would have been nice to be able to open a bedroom window and allow the ocean breezes come through during the night. One other small thing, it would have been helpful to have some instructions on how to use the TV cable remotes, there are 2, and it took me a few hours and a few tries to figure it out how get just plain-ol-tv stations, but then again I'm a little handicapped when it comes to things like that.
