The Retreat at St Andrews Beach Golf Course

Loved our stay here. The location was absolutely stunning. So peaceful and surrounded by beautiful scenery. One of the highlights was waking up each morning to see kangaroos grazing on the grass out the back; it made the experience feel really special. The accommodation itself was spacious, comfortable and well laid out, with plenty of room for us to relax without feeling cramped. The beds were also incredibly comfortable, which made for a great night’s sleep after a day exploring the region. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and somewhere we’d happily return to. I’ve already recommended to many friends.

The only feedback I’d offer is around a few amenities that we had assumed would be available. My friend travelled from Queensland and I travelled from Victoria, and neither of us packed shampoo, conditioner or a hairdryer as these are typically provided at most accommodation. We were a little surprised to discover they weren’t available at the property. Under normal circumstances this wouldn’t be a major issue, however the location is more remote, which made purchasing these items a little less convenient. The lack of a hairdryer was also slightly challenging as we had planned a day visiting local wineries and had hoped to style our hair beforehand. It’s entirely possible this information was included in the property details and we simply overlooked it, as these are amenities we generally expect to be provided. Regardless, we had a fantastic stay and would happily recommend the property. We offer this feedback simply as something future guests may find helpful to know before they arrive.

The house was easy to find and located in a beautiful and quiet setting, with a view right over a practice golf fairway & green for guests staying at the property. It was very tastefully furnished, very well appointed and immaculately clean. The bedrooms were nice & roomy and the beds super comfortable with good quality linen. There was also lots of storage space (hanging + shelves) for clothes, bags, etc in each bedroom. The property also featured a nice deck with table & chairs and large umbrella, and in the late afternoon, it's a great place to sit with a glass of wine and watch the kangaroos in the distance! The hosts (Joe & Renae) were easy to communicate with and were helpful and prompt to reply. Overall, it was a great place to stay and we all loved it.

The accommodation was beautiful, comfortable, clean, spacious with beautiful views. Absolutely loved the fully equipped kitchen with everything you need and even things you didn't think you needed. So quiet and relaxing. Communication with owner was excellent. Highly recommend.
