The Fingal Farm

Our fourth visit, and won't be our last, we really enjoy the peaceful feel and quietness of The Fingal Farm. We feel really relaxed here. Comfortable bed, everything we needed in the kitchenette. Good selection of breakfast cereals, milk, bread and spreads. Arrived home from the Peninsula Hot Springs to find the heater on and the place cosy and warm ... thank you!

The kitchen taps seemed stiffer than I remembered ... maybe I need to get back to the gym?!

A cosy, cute cottage adjacent to the host’s main house. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable firm double beds, kitchenette w microwave, sink and a generous supply of crockery n cutlery. In better weather would have enjoyed your own private terrace n bbq overlooking a lovely view of the property’s valley. A small tv w Netflix. Thick bath towels. Private car park. 10 min to Alba Spa. 15 min to great Indian restaurant Oh Ya. 25 min to Dromana Drive-in. We appreciated that the hosts left lights on and heaters going for our arrival. The continental breakfast supplies were very generous and delicious. Fresh orange juice n milk n butter supplied.

We were aware of the unusual configuration of beds….one in bedroom and one in the living room/kitchenette. So, access to the bathroom was through the bedroom for everyone. Okay for families or very close friends but, probably not good for two couples.

Bread, juice and milk provided as part of the continental breakfast. Also the microwave, kettle and toaster available for use were helpful. Bedding was very comfortable and room was nice and warm for us when we arrived Own driveway space to use while staying there. Excellent and prompt communication from the owner. Very generously allowed us late checkout at 10:30. Less than 15 minutes drive from the Peninsula hot springs. Big grass yard and fairy lights in outdoor eating area was nice.

The only toilet was an ensuite: other people in the outside bedroom have to enter the main bedroom room to access the bathroom. Sink handles in kitchen were a little hard to turn.

cleanliness I did think it was 2 bedrooms but on arrival found that one of the beds was in the living area
