Charming 2BR Victorian Apartment in Prime Jesmond - Fast WiFi & Steps From Station!

Fabulous location. Jesmond has a real vibe. Accommodating host.

Clean spacious space that had everything we needed for the duration of our stay. Perfect location and close to transports links around the city.

Couldn’t work out the heating on the last night as we were cold but too late in the night to message the host but nothing that makes the stay any less enjoyable.

The location was great and very convenient for a visit to family living locally. We are regular visitors to Jesmond for a few days each month so know our way around. It is a vibrant area with a mix of private residential properties and some student lets which have led to a lot of independent businesses setting up, especially restaurants and coffee shops with chains also represented. The hosts information on the area is very good including suggestions for some of these, and you have a large selection (easily into double figures) within 5-10 minutes of the property. There are also three 'mini' supermarkets for anyone preparing meals at the property, although Tesco and Waitrose are large enough to have to adopt Sunday opening hours leaving Sainsburys as the likely one to use that day. There can be some noise during term times but the property is a good few blocks away from the student bars on parts of Osborne Road. The property is a traditional 'Newcastle semi' split maisonette style with separate ground and first floor entrances, and those upstairs were clearly considerate with no substantial noise. Only a couple of minutes walk to West Jesmond metro which has trains to all stops on the system and decent access to road systems. Jesmond Dene is also a good walking spot, and on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays each month has an excellent independent food market on Armstrong Bridge

For completeness I've noted a couple of things but marked the host as excellent above, and have been told that changes have/are being made in response to my feedback to cover these issues in what seemed to be a relatively new let. It took a while to work out how to set the boiler and I'm told an instruction manual for the property has been prepared. Our major issue was that the day before our stay there was a message saying keys had to be collected and returned to central Newcastle - the host has again quickly taken on feedback and has said that a key safe is being arranged

Location was absolutely perfect in the heart of west jesmond, property was super clean and comfortable. Visiting as a group of 5 friends it was a perfect size. Owner let us extend our checkout to 12 for £20

You have to collect the keys from near the train station in town which I wasn’t aware of beforehand. This isn’t a major issue but was just a faff to detour on the way. Would be much more convenient to have a lock box on site. Also no parking permit so you have to use the car park nearby for £5 a day
