About this apartment rental
Here you can enjoy a wonderful getaway in nature and with donkeys.
Our farm is located across from Krobnitz Castle, next to the castle grounds and a small wood. It’s the perfect place to slow down, go for walks, take bike rides, and savor the moment.
Our donkeys roam freely around our house, so you can easily watch them at any time. You’re welcome to help feed and care for Lani and Blümchen.
The light-filled “EselGlück” vacation rental spans the entire top floor and measures approximately 80 m². You’ll be staying in a historic, listed building dating back to 1880. It was renovated in 2023, and the “EselGlück” vacation rental was refurbished at that time. In addition to a kitchen, a bathroom with a tub, and a large hallway area, the “EselGlück” vacation rental offers 3 separate rooms with 5 sleeping spots; three additional beds can be added. We share the stairwell.
There are 2 free parking spaces available on the property. Bicycles and motorcycles can be safely stored in the garage.
Our donkeys live in an open stable that extends around our house—it feels a bit like living in a petting zoo here ;-)
Next to the house is a meadow with a seating area and a grill, which our guests are welcome to use.
We often explore the region ourselves and would be happy to recommend our favorite places to visit and restaurants.
You’re welcome to interact with the donkeys—just let us know!
Note for guests with allergies: Our own dog lives with us in the house, and guest dogs are welcome in the vacation rental.
There are also cows and alpacas in the village, and in the spring, a flock of ewes (about 100 animals) grazes below our property.
It’s a wonderful place for wildlife watching; we also have many different species of birds here, and in the fall, large flocks migrate south over our farm.
There’s a bakery within walking distance in the neighboring village of Meuselwitz that lovingly prepares delicious rolls, breads, and cakes entirely by hand and bakes them in a 100-year-old brick oven.
Bautzen, Görlitz, Löbau, and Zittau are less than a half-hour drive away, and Dresden is less than an hour away.
