Ladywash Cottage is ideal for family gatherings, celebrations, wedding parties, active holidays, or just a relaxing stay in the Peak district.

Ladywash Farm was built in 1813 and is now a grade 2 listed building. Restored in 2024/25, the cottage incorporates the charming features of the old cow shed and threshing barn. We have preserved as many original elements as possible, blending rustic charm with modern comfort. The cottage has great eco credentials, well-insulated using a specialist breathable wood fibre system compatible with a traditional stone built building, complemented by solar and heat pump technology. This eco-friendly cottage is warm and comfortable while maintaining a light carbon footprint and will do for years to come.

Ideally located, Ladywash Farm is just moments from many of the Peak District’s most picturesque villages and top attractions. From here, you have easy access to scenic hikes, cultural sites, and nature’s wonders. Eyam itself is just a 2-minute drive away, while within 15-20 minutes you can explore Chatsworth House, Bakewell, Castleton, Edale, Derwent and Ladybower Dams, Mam Tor, Monsal Dale, and much more. The cottage sits in the centre of one of the UK’s premier areas for hiking, running, cycling, and climbing enthusiasts.

Ladywash Cottage is part of Ladywash Farm, a working smallholding. Our farm is home to a flock of sheep, with lambing typically happening in mid-April. You are welcome to get involved if you like. Beyond the sheep, the farm hosts a variety of wildlife: Curlews nesting in late spring, Swifts, Swallows, Owls, Kestrels, Buzzards, Bats, Hares and Rabbits are all frequent visitors enriching the tranquil farmstead.
