It was an amazing experience. And this is coming from someone who is the antitypical outdoorsy girl. But Bernita's Point made it easy, even enjoyable, to admire the beauty of the river and its surroundings. The house has all the essential creature comforts that a city girl like me appreciates, while at the same time allowing a person to get some much needed rest and relaxation. On the back deck one can enjoy the peace and tranquility of a calming sunrise or sunset while sipping their favorite beverage. And if you're not afraid to get your hands dirty, you can try your hand at fishing right from the expansive deck. It's perfect for a multi-genrational family gathering. The host is top notch and very accommodating. When it's time to go, you are already planning your next visit back; because Bernita's Point is the perfect place to unwind and unplug. And in today's hectic pace of life, we all need to pause and reset.

Our stay on Belle River was nothing short of incredible! The home was beautifully decorated, spotless, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed and more. You can really feel the love and care the owners put into this space.The highlight for us was the huge deck over the water—absolutely magical. We enjoyed unforgettable sunrises with coffee and the most breathtaking sunsets each evening. The views alone make this place worth the stay!We also got to enjoy so much local wildlife right from the camp and while out on the boat the owner generously provided. From birds to fish to the peaceful calm of the river, it was the perfect Louisiana bayou experience.If you’re looking for a relaxing, scenic, and well-appointed getaway, this is truly a gem. We can’t wait to come back!

Our stay was wonderful! The rental was extremely clean, well organized, and stocked with everything we needed. Customer service was excellent and very responsive. We enjoyed beautiful views every day. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again! 5
