Mango Eden Villa

Our studio was modern, with a comfortable bed, and was uniquely Queensland in style with two walls of slatted windows to ventilate the room. It had its own washing machine/dryer, which was particularly convenient for rinsing and drying swim wear and towels. A second dining area was available on a balcony. The gardens around the pool were pretty but our room looked out onto a neighbouring property, which was sometimes noisy during the day. A grocery shop and cafe were conveniently close.

The description we received did not indicate that the building was on two levels with stairs and we were placed on the top floor. The manager helped us up with our baggage but, as senior citizens, we would have preferred a ground floor location. The studio was rather small for us with no cupboard space, so we were constantly moving stuff around it during our stay. The description said that the room would have a stove top but it only had a microwave and an electric frying pan, so we were limited in what we could prepare in the kitchen area. Unfortunately, it didn't match our expectations for the price we paid.

The layout was lovely. With the bedroom garden wall all netted for air with very atmospheric louvred shutters. The complex has fab gardens and a great pool.

The planting was a bit overgrown, making the studio and its terrace dark and damp.
