Well equipped house in Penistone

Great little house in Penistone. We only stayed one night but it would have been a great spot for walking. House was well equipped and mostly very comfortable. Good shower and free control of the heating.

The house was very cosy and had everything we needed. Easy parking. Good communication. A little basket of treats. Penistone is a lovely place. The New Inn opposite was very welcoming. All is Good at the top of the hill was exceptional.

I couldn't get the back door to lock, but a bolt was there.

The location was great and the house was lovely and clean. Loved the little welcome note and sweets as well

The only bit was there was no handle on the bathroom door and it was a struggle to open it from the inside. This isn’t enough of an issue to stop me from booking again or from giving the place 10/10

Great location...restaurants pub and beautiful park.

Everything you need for your stay with the garden being a bonus.The cottage was extremely clean. There is a restaurant which looked very special...and a dog friendly pub. I had some very good indian food from the Indian restaurant..All these are a stones throw away. Forgot to mention the little takeaway fish and chip shop..so unique. It doesn't even look like a fish and chip shop .....more like a little fish restaurant from outside . Just up the same road that the cottage is in was a beautiful park with an amazing aqueduct...really worth seeing .Quite took my breath away because l wasn't expecting it to be there .Also in the park ...little bridges crossing the River Don.. I really enjoyed my 6 day break ....sad when it came to an end. I liked the views too. I was there with my little Yorkie dog but the cottage and surroundings would suit couples and families alike.

We enjoyed visiting Penistone and I would definitely book there again.

Good location and walking distance to town centre. There's a pub virtually across the road if you want to go out in the evening without straying too far. Plenty of room in the cottage with a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds with good duvets and everything there that we needed, including wi-fi. We were only there for one night but would have happily stayed for longer.

The stairs are very steep! Phone numbers of some local taxi firms and maybe a town centre type map in the information pack would be helpful. Otherwise it was absolutely fine.
