The kind, friendly and very much helping host, making his best to ensure we will have a good stay, also the welcome bottle of wine, which was a nice gesture. The house is next door to an old church which gives a bit of mystic feeling. The host told us the story about this place, quite an interesting one.

The room is situated in a guest house, not in a separate apartment, not in a hotel. The quadruple room, although with 1 double and 2 separate beds, was not comfortable even for the two of us. The 2 separate beds were in the narrow part of the room with a low ceiling, so you can't move upright. Тhe dormer window has no blinds or curtains so when the sun rises, the room is already bright. There was no chair where you can sit, so we had to sit on the double bed, which was not comfortable. And there was an army of mosquitoes... But all depends what you are looking for. We were looking for an apartment with a parking so that we can park our car and visit Florence, which was said to be 15 minutes by bus. This was not the case we experienced. Bus #23 was never on time, one of the days we waited 1 hour on the bus stop at 38 degrees temperature. We had to go 1 kilometer in order to be able to order a taxi. If you plan to visit Florence, don't rely on the bus service. The taxi costs 40 EUR one direction. So, if you are a couple in your 60s, your goal is to visit Florence and you are coming by car, better look for an accommodation in Florence, where the parking costs 40-50 EUR/day. The accommodation was generally good, but not what we expected. This is not due to the accommodation or the host, but to the circumstances - extremely hot weather, bad bus service and we - not in our 20-30 years, but much more, so we value our comfort.

Truly a one-of-a-kind property located just outside of Florence. Recently renovated from an old church accommodation, the property sits on top of a hill with fantastic views over the city, both day and night. Our room was spacious with 3 beds and an ensuite bathroom. The highlight has to be chatting with Giacomo, as he told us about the history of the property, as well as some awesome archaeological finds on the property! The wine was absolutely fantastic, and the pool will make an exciting addition to future stays!
