Refurbished flat in stunning coach house

Fabulous, beautifully decorated cottage. Extremely clean and excellent, timely communication.

Beautifully appointed flat with high spec fittings, with clearly excellent workmanship. Bedroom: good size, plenty of room, different lighting choices and an array of art deco mirrors. Bathroom - absolutely stunning, superbly appointed, lovely space; Wardrobe - couldn't quite work out why this wasn't fitted in the bedroom, but more than enough room for our clothes (and we had a lot!). Lounge: very cosy - one large sofa, so little limited in seating; "Study" area - with a table with more drawer space if needed and a fold up chair Quirky decoration throughout, created a lovely homely feel. We were very comfortable here and it worked really well for our needs - a place for recuperation and easy access to King's Hospital, but there is also easy access to central London from Denmark Hill station, only 4 mins walk away; supermarkets walkable (15 - 20 mins), convenience store 2 mins, pubs 1 - 5 mins.

The kitchen was somewhat disappointing and is the only reason we haven't given a perfect score - much smaller than anticipated and presented a real challenge for cooking fresh meals. However, we did accustom to it and manage reasonably well in the end (my partner was convalescing from a hospital admission at King's and couldn't go out, so we had to cook in). If you are intending to just breakfast/snack here during your stay or are happy with microwave meals, then this will not be a problem. But if you are intending to cook "properly", plan minimalist meals as there is very little worksurface. Utensils and crockery plentiful. Prepare for awkward washing up - it is not possible to stand fully facing the sink, and you end up wedged against the fridge door handles - again not an issue if you're only snacking at the property. Having said all that, I would still come back and stay again, with different expectation - forewarned is forearmed!

Justin’s place is the exact opposite of a sterile, mass-produced rental—it genuinely feels like a thoughtful home full of character. Finding a kind handwritten note from him upon arrival was such a sweet touch. I loved spending mornings and evenings reading in the cozy living room. Tucked away on a quiet street yet close to great pubs, shops, and transit, it's an unbeatable spot. Highly recommended!

The WiFi was great in the living room, though it didn't work quite as well in the bedroom.

Fabulous flat with everything that I needed for a couple of nights whilst my husband was in Kings College Hospital. Less than 10 mins walk from hospital and Denmark Hill station. Really comfortable with an excellent fan and blackout blind in the bedroom.
