We had a few issues during our stay. The bathroom being downstairs was quite inconvenient, especially at night. Having a bathroom upstairs would have made the stay much more comfortable. The outside area where the braai and hot tub are located is also extremely dark at night. I understand that it’s a bush setup and there isn’t a fence, but some outdoor lighting would really make a difference, especially around the hot tub area. The biggest disappointment for us was the hot tub. We specifically came because of it, but unfortunately, the water took an extremely long time to heat up and never really got to the temperature we expected. We even bought additional wood for around R120, but the fire kept dying down and the water still wasn’t getting hot. It became such a mission that we eventually couldn’t properly enjoy the hot tub, which was disappointing, especially since it was one of the main things we were looking forward to. The parking is also a bit inconvenient as the car is parked slightly outside the property. I think having secure parking inside the property would be much better. The bed unfortunately wasn’t very comfortable either, and the place was quite cold. There is an air conditioner, but it didn’t seem to heat the room sufficiently. Overall, the concept and setting are nice, but there are a few things that could definitely be improved to make the stay more comfortable and enjoyable.
