Goldeneye Chalet -Hidden Gem of Hartees

The place is beautiful with awesome views. We unfortunately just chose a wrong time to go as the area had an unexpected cold temperature the weekend. Although we got cold and took with an extra blanket as the owners warned beforehand, it was not necessary because there was more than enough warm blankets and the duvet was thick and warm. there was also an electric blanket that gave extra heat. On Saturday we did have some sunshine and enjoyed the jacuzzi which was so awesome. The owner even enquired if we are still enjoying our stay, on Saturday.

The only thing that was not al that nice was the bathroom, which is more suited for summer as it has an opening where the cold came in, but the heater in the bathroom did help a bit.

Our stay at Golden Eye Chalet was the ultimate relaxing holiday. The chalet offers a wonderful, private bushveld experience while remaining spacious and impeccably clean. The host was amazing throughout the booking process and followed up upon arrival to ensure we were settled. A highlight was definitely the Jacuzzi- the temperature was perfect! The space was well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. I highly recommend it for a peaceful getaway in Hartbeespoort.

There was nothing to not like about the place.

Beautiful view, clean and comfortable house. The way up is a bit bumpy but how else can one reach a hidden gem? It feels like deep nature but yet so close to convenience. The shower is a dream as well. The owner is very welcoming, responsive, friendly and helpful.

Be prepared to carry luggage a short distance. Not a problem for me though.

A very pleasant stay with stunning views and excellent hospitality. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, and we really enjoyed the calm, farm-style environment. It was the perfect place to stay while participating in the Om die Dam marathon.
