Station lounge

Lovely old building with a quirky but thoroughly enjoyable premises. The staff were all excellent and Mike, the new owner/manager was a really nice bloke. Truly loved meeting the pub pet parrot.

In need of a bit of a refresh in the upstairs but it had only been reopened for 5 weeks when we stayed.

Room needs some tlc

Very comfy bed , larger room than expected and good value for money. The manager was attentive and tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

Didn't really have any negatives

Central Location, right next to train station. There was a fan provided in the room as it was hot weather which was a good thought. Friendly staff had concern to meet guests needs. There was also an iron and ironing board.

I stayed here a number of years ago and it has been done up. Some of the finer details needed attention. Compared to the competition in the are from other places to stay there are better options. Not sure if any of the staff have stayed in the rooms and looked at it from a guest journey. The kettle was on a dressing table but there was no plug socket in easy reach. Some of the walls had marks on them , just needed a freshen up with a repaint. Paper on one wall was coming away so just needed tidying up. No plug in bathroom sink. Could have done with some sort of blind at the window. due to architecture of the building the curtains didn't completely block out the daylight. I stay in clitheroe often and with a bit more attention to detail this would be my destination of choice.
