The host arrived as soon as I sent a WhatsApp message to say that we had arrived, handed us keys and showed us around. I was very grateful for the heater and extra blanket provided. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, the linen good quality, the decor uncluttered and the location superb. I also enjoyed reading some of the books kindly made available on the coffee table. The shower was superb. The same applies to the hair dryer!
We had brought a hot water bottle, so slept very warmly, thanks also to the heater and extra blanket kindly provided by the host. I would have loved an electric blanket though, as well a dish cloth in the kitchen and a bit of milk or coffee cream to accompany the complimentary coffee sachets. In the end, we did not make coffee in the property. Nothing major, but we struggled a bit with the lock/key to open the gate - there seems to be a trick to it which we only managed right at the end. (It may be our own stupidity!)

Our stay at Casa Del Lago was nothing short of exceptional. Reuben, our host, went truly above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for during a difficult time while my mom was unwell. His kindness, compassion, and encouragement made a lasting impression on all of us.
We were also upgraded, which was an unexpected and appreciated gesture. Arriving back from the hospital in the evenings felt like walking into a sanctuary; the lights were turned on, and the fan heater and air conditioning had already warmed our beautiful unit. The apartment itself was immaculate, stylish, peaceful, and very well-equipped, with a large modern kitchen ideal for home cooking and a beautiful deck with a built-in braai overlooking the lagoon. The location is superb, with a lovely walkway leading to a variety of restaurants, art galleries, and shops. Secure off-street parking was available, too. Thank you, Reuben.
