Villas Tamu 1

Good value for money. Fairly new build. Friendly helpful staff. Reasonably close to Padang Padang beach but very steep roads so used motorbike instead.

A sign in the bathroom asked you not to flush your toilet paper down the toilet because of the septic system and to put the toilet paper in the rubbish bin provided. Because of this we asked for the bin to be emptied daily. It was not and we had to ask the staff every day to empty the bins in the bathroom. The bathroom bins must be emptied daily by staff and guests should not have to ask. This is a health risk

Location was good, need to catch a taxi to beach or shops, and it’s a very short trip. Breakfast (and lunch and dinner) available from a very cool cafe directly over the road. Communication from the hosts on messages was efficient during business hours.

We didn’t meet the hosts, it was all done via messaging. We arrived late and had an unfortunate incident with a local boy attempting to get into our car (with our driver), so didn’t feel safe and didn’t go out of the villa after dark. I didnt realise the bedrooms were not interconnected, and the lock on one of the rooms was broken (which the hosts arranged to repair quickly the next day - thank you), which made it difficult to have my kids in one room and me in a separate room. Aside from that, we had a great stay.

The villa was in a very good location only a 2 minute gojek drive from the main strip of shops. The staff were very attentive over whatsapp. Both the bedrooms and living room were very clean and the private pool was a great facility to have.

There was a sewerage smells throughout the time we stayed there, possibly from the construction that was happening across from the villa. One of the bedrooms had ants crawling around the bathroom throughout the stay. Unfortunately the air cons in the bedrooms both stopped working on the last day.

Amazing villa. Quiet and peaceful, just off the main road. The location is PERFECT!
