About this house rental
Three bedrooms and one bathroom, sleeping eight: a king room, a twin room with two singles, a small double, and a sofa bed in the lounge for two more. On the ground floor the kitchen, dining area and lounge flow into one another, so the whole group can eat and unwind together, and out the back there's an enclosed garden with seating. Up to three dogs can join you. Fratton station is about five minutes on foot, with direct trains to London, and Fratton Park, the Portsmouth FC stadium, around nine.

Good to know
With a single bathroom for up to eight people, a little planning helps on busy mornings. Walmer House is a terraced home in the city, so you may occasionally hear neighbours through the shared walls.
Guest Access:
The whole house and garden are for your group alone. Self check-in is by lockbox from 4 pm to 9 pm, and check-out is by 10 am. Parking is on the street in the GA permit zone: one permit is included, and spaces near the station can be hard to find at busy times.
The Neighborhood:
From the front door it's about nine minutes on foot to Fratton Park and twelve to the shops and supermarkets on Fratton Road. A short drive takes you to the sea: Southsea Common, a wide green beside the beach, is about six minutes away, and Southsea Castle and Gunwharf Quays about seven. Every August the Victorious Festival fills the Common with music. The Spinnaker Tower and Eastney Beach are each about eight minutes by car, and Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, where you can step aboard Nelson's flagship and see the Mary Rose, about ten. For dinner out, Albert Road's independent restaurants and bars are around 23 minutes' walk.
Getting Around:
Fratton station is about five minutes' walk, with direct trains to London Waterloo, Southampton and Brighton. By road, the A2030 and M275 connect you to the M27 motorway.
Other Things to Note:

You choose either a Damage Deposit of £350 (your card is saved and nothing is taken up front; it can only be charged for a claim SafeGuest approves after check-out) or SafeGuest's No Deposit fee of £40 (a one-off fee paid to SafeGuest). If you can't use the photo ID check, message us and we'll arrange a short video call instead. Please don't send ID documents by email. Your booking is on the Blue Puffin Stays Booking Terms (Guests) and the House Rules for this home.

For anything urgent during your stay, the emergency number in your check-in details works at any time. We're glad to suggest places to eat and things to do in Portsmouth.
