The situation is off the main road and in a small hamlet near to Goulles, where there is a café-bar and shop (only open the mornings). This is a refurbished genuine stone-built farm house with a large chimney piece containing a wood-burning cast iron Danish stove. There's room for a small family (one double bed and one bunk bed). The host is very helpful and lit the fire in the stove for us on our arrival. There's a large gas-fired range and oven and all the the other equipment needed for self-catering.
The relatively off-the-beaten track and simple heating arrangements may put off some people who like their creature comforts.
