Tout .. Laura est extraordinaire, l’appartement est très beau, très propre, ça sent bon.. y’a tout ce qu’il faut. En plein centre ville. C’était génial ! Je recommande à 100%

Great apartment for couple with lift access. Warm and cozy (as name says) with easy to use sauna. Very clean and tidy with big fluffy duvets, various soaps/gels, towels, hair dryer, TV, wifi, coffee/tea and a fully functional kitchen. Excellent location, short walk to centre of town surrounded by restaurants and many tour companies. 5 minute walk to shopping center and supermarket. Easy access to "airport bus" for airport and/or Santa Village, and key pick-up was straight forward. We did so much in a week - northern light watching, sauna/swim in river (very cold in Feb!), x-country skiing, walking, santa village. Things we didn't do but possible - limited down hill skiing, various trips out of town, husky dog sledging, meet Mr Santa. Everything was in walking distance for us so no need to wait and pay for taxis or buses. We used santasport to rent x-country skies and this was a 20-30 min walk. Northern light watching by the river was about 15 min walk. We even walked back from santa village which is 8km and took us about 2 hours. Our host Laura was contactable for info/help throughout our visit. There is also a parking space if you have car, which we didn't, and recycling bins at the rear.
Rovaniemi is a growing tourist destination and the airport is struggling to cope on busy days with long queues. Staff are aware and do everything possible to get you on your flight, but it can be a bit stressful so be ready and do as instructed - you will get through. Turning up early does not help as you will be asked to wait before bag drop - the building can only cope with so many people inside.
