Aptos Coastal Studio Walk to Beach and Private Patio

Location was perfect. 5 minute stroll to Rio Del Mar Beach with a small market and 2 eateries. Within 5 minute drive to freeway and Safeway and a whole host of shops and restaurants. The bed was comfortable and the studio was well stocked with everything you'd need. I liked that we had use of the washing machine machine and drier. Towels and linens provided along with restroom toiletries. Small sunny enclosed private patio deck area. Room tastefully decorated with a local beach vibe. I loved being able to sleep with the patio door wide open, except for the time we got a whiff of skunk on the breeze. A hazard of living in that area. Liz was helpful and friendly and I liked that she was onhand to answer any queries. Great communication throughout the booking. Very clean. Stayed here for 10 nights. Better than staying in a motel or hotel room. Thank you Liz 😊

The gate and noise levels. We stayed in studio B and during our 10 night stay we heard many new guests checking into A, it seemed they only stayed a night, 2 at most. When checking in they all slammed the gate, were talking loud, oblivious they had neighbors only feet away. The gate continued to slam on a daily and nightly basis, often so loud and forcefully the walls of the studio literally shook so hard it knocked something over that was leaning on the back of the sofa. I would suggest some cute signs in the walkway like "quite zone please talk softly" and "please close gate gently, please dont let it slam shut". The provision of clothes hangers was appreciated but unfortunately the closet was so full of supplies it was impossible to then actually hang any of my clothes in the closet. Some actual usable hanging space would be useful.

Area

Thin walls. We could hear everything that was going on near us, people opening and shutting the gate, but actually shake the studio.
