The property is in a quiet area of Portballintrae which in of itself is a fairly quiet town, it makes an excellent base for which to explore the surrounding area as well as being a very comfortable place to return to at the end of each day. The property has pretty much everything you could need for a stay for a small family, a couple or a pair of couples, there are two very generously sized bedrooms with 1 double and I think possibly 1 king sized bed (one of the beds felt larger), the rooms are very light and comfortable and suited us perfectly. The house itself was very well cleaned, so much so I felt like the mirrors were some of the cleanest I'd ever seen, the bathroom and kitchen in particular were immaculate and I think that really helps with feeling comfortable as those are the areas you look after yourself and your family. The nearest beach is walking distance or a short car journey and it's a pretty decent beach, I would say you need to make sure you take all you need for the trip with you though as there isn't any shops in the town, or at least any that provide the typical offerings a normal shop does. Bushmills is a short car journey away and has basically everything you could need for your stay (co-op, centra, spar, petrol stations, ice cream shops, a bakery, off license etc) Portrush is also a short car journey and is very easily accessible from this property by car. There's ample parking outside the property for car(s) I have a Hyundai kona and was able to back it up with enough access to all doors and the boot, and you could have easily fit another one beside in the parking provided with no issues. The back garden is a nice outdoor space and there's some outdoor seating.

I can't really fault the property itself, I would really be nitpicking if I had to find anything to fault and even then it would be very minor things that would be more of a factor only if we stayed longer than 2 days (which we would like to return to do some time) The first thing was that there wasn't any hot water on our arrival and due to the heating being by way of immersion or the oil (I assume) heating, there's some delay in getting hot water, though for the following day(s) you then know to just have either heating or immersion on for a bit before you need/want the water. The other thing was simply that next time I would opt to bring a laptop or tablet with me because I don't think the tv had any ports to accept a fire stick or similar, or smart features that would allow a streaming service to be opened on it, not a huge deal for a short stay where you plan to go out, but if we stayed longer our child would likely eventually want one of their favorite films. Neither of these things would stop me coming back however.

Beautifully clean and well presented in a quiet area with plenty of parking. Lovely garden area and dog friendly.

Nothing

A beautiful, comfortable and well equipped cottage - the kitchen had pretty much everything, rooms were lovely, and there were lots of little extras like toiletries in the bathroom. The location is beautiful too! Very easy reach of the Giant's Causeway, Dunluce Castle and excellent beaches.

The bathroom door latch was loose so that it did not lock, and recycling instructions were unclear - also wasn't clear we needed to heat water for the shower as it looked like an electric one. But these were fairly minor! Local area rather blighted by nationalist flags unfortunately.
